Job summary

GXO Logistics is recruiting a Network HR Assistant to support our B&Q retail logistics operation. You’ll provide end-to-end HR assistance across multiple sites, handling contracts, variations, starters, leavers, right-to-work checks, references and probation tracking while ensuring GDPR compliance and data standards.

This part-time, permanent role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, office hours. You’ll enjoy 25 days’ annual leave (plus bank holidays) and a range of benefits including

Qualifications

• Experience as HR assistant or coordinator in a high-volume environment.
• Strong knowledge of employment documentation and HR processes.
• Familiarity with GDPR compliance and data handling.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end HR assistance across multiple sites, including contracts, variations, starters, leavers, right-to-work checks, references and probation tracking.
• Maintain accurate HR systems and personnel files, ensuring GDPR compliance at all times.
• Support employee relations activity by preparing documentation, tracking case timelines, and note-taking at meetings.
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities, including adverts, interviews, offers and pre-employment checks.
• Produce regular HR reports including headcount, starters/leavers, absence and probation milestones.
• Act as a first point of contact for HR admin queries, escalating appropriately where required.
