Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Construction Assurance Manager to support the Yorkshire North East region. You will represent company interests on civil engineering construction and maintenance sites, ensuring work aligns with time, cost, quality, safety, and customer experience standards.

Based in Wakefield, Darlington, or Leeds, and with a requirement to drive, you will coordinate with Project Managers and supply chain partners to deliver schemes safely and efficiently while meeting regulatory

Qualifications

• Degree in relevant engineering discipline or proven highways experience.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations, HSE, DMRB, MCHW and safety management.
• Experience with NEC 4 ECC form of contract.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assuring completion of planned works to agreed standards.
• Ensuring works are constructed in line with CDM, HSE, DMRB and MCHW.
• Provide regular feedback to Project Managers on progress, risks and issues.
• Coordinate delivery programme with supply chain partners and perform buildability reviews.
• Liaise with Project Managers and Commercial & Procurement on early warnings and compensation events.
