Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems is seeking a full-time Regional Growth Manager based in South Wales (Oakdale & Merthyr) to drive growth strategies across UK regions. You will collaborate with Strategy, Government Relations, Marketing, Community Relations and Operations to shape opportunities delivering regional investment and prosperity.

Qualifications

• University degree and/or relevant professional experience.
• Related experience in business development, government relations, economic development, industrial strategy or stakeholder engagement.
• Proven ability to analyse complex issues and develop appropriate action plans.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience developing and maintaining strategic relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and projects.
• Understanding of UK Government, Defence and industrial policy environments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities across a diverse stakeholder network.
• Strong commercial, analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to understand, clarify and comply with applicable legal, regulatory and corporate requirements.
• Ability to travel within the UK and internationally as required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional growth activities to support strategic objectives.
• Develop and implement regional growth strategies aligned to company priorities.
• Identify, monitor and assess market opportunities, investment opportunities and regional growth initiatives.
• Shape, develop and support new business opportunities within assigned regions.
• Support opportunity funnel management and strategic planning activities.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with government, industry, academia and community stakeholders.
