Job summary
United Utilities is looking for Regional Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our team, delivering site maintenance and recovery activities across operational and non-operational land. You will carry out grounds maintenance, vegetation management, soft landscaping, and building maintenance to support our site maintenance plans and safety standards.
You will work on a variety of sites, operate a range of machinery, and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Practical experience in grounds maintenance, vegetation management, and building maintenance.
- Confident with grounds maintenance machinery: mowers, strimmers, robotics.
- Ability to plan and deliver both scheduled and unscheduled works across multiple sites.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Undertake grounds maintenance and vegetation management across various sites.
- Operate and maintain plant and equipment; perform daily checks.
- Record work on corporate systems and support training of new starters.
- Adhere to health and safety standards and company policy.
- Assist with winter works and site standards improvements.
