Job summary

Mitie Landscapes, part of Mitie Group plc, is recruiting a Grounds Maintenance Operative for a permanent, full-time role. It is 40 hours per week, paying £13.10 per hour, covering Bath/Bristol/Swindon/Chippenham.

You will maintain the Canal network with grass and hedge cutting, report hazards, and operate all vehicles and machinery in line with Health & Safety procedures. A driving licence and a passion for outdoor work are essential.

Qualifications

• Grounds maintenance experience required.
• Full driving licence required.
• Passion for working outdoors.
• Able to work in an agile and flexible environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the Canal network with grass cutting and hedge cutting.

Mitie Landscapes has an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team at the UKs market leading FM company. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be supporting them in ensuring your team deliver the exceptional every day.

You will be working in partnership with Canal & River Trust is the UK's largest canal charity, who care for a 2,000-mile network of stunning canals and navigable rivers.

Connecting many of the UK's urban and rural areas, we provide essential spaces for wildlife and people, helping us all feel happier and healthier.

You will be responsible for.

• Maintaining the Canal network including grass cutting & hedge cutting,
• Providing management with relevant information and reporting as required, including reporting any site hazards.
• Operating all vehicles, machinery and equipment in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
• Undertaking training as and when required.

What we are looking for

• A passion for working outdoors.
• Prepared to work in an agile and flexible working
• A good understanding of smartphone technology.
• Grounds Maintenance experience
