Job summary

Astrea Academy Trust is seeking a Regional Lead Practitioner for Geography to support South Yorkshire Secondary Schools. You will teach high-quality Geography lessons, design KS4 curriculum, and provide subject-specific expertise to the Secondary Curriculum Team.

You will work with leading subject experts to drive social mobility and improvements in scholar outcomes, while continuing to teach in the classroom and develop your leadership within the trust.

Qualifications

• Deep passion for Geography and a track record of delivering impact in schools.
• Ability to lead and support teachers to raise KS4 outcomes.
• Experience of curriculum design and knowledge-rich teaching.

Responsibilities

• Teach outstanding Geography lessons aligned with the trust's knowledge-rich curriculum.
• Design and implement KS4 curriculum with high expectations.
• Provide subject-specific guidance to the Secondary Curriculum Team.
• Collaborate with Heads of Department and Regional Lead Practitioners to share best practice.
