Job Description:

Reporting to the CEO, we are seeking a Regional General Manager with strong commercial acumen and a high-quality hospitality background. We need a commercial leader, a hospitality professional, and a change agent who can coach and develop teams and consistently deliver excellent hospitality while achieving financial goals.

Location: The role's location is flexible for the right candidate, with approximately two to three days per week at Gidleigh Park in East Devon. Regular travel across our hotels is required (own transport needed, as some locations are remote). Travel expenses are covered, and accommodation is available if needed.

Hours: Full-time.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the base hotel as General Manager and overseeing other hotels in the UK portfolio.
  • Providing strategic and commercial leadership, driving business strategy across approximately three hotels.
  • Driving sales and revenue while managing costs to meet targets.
  • Engaging with teams and maintaining awareness of hotel operations.
  • Making sound business decisions based on commercial awareness.
  • Analyzing and managing hotel P&L statements.
  • Fostering a positive people culture through effective communication.
  • Collaborating with central support teams and implementing group strategies.
  • Participating in regular meetings and communication channels with other GMs and regional managers.
  • Proven experience leading successful hospitality businesses, preferably with 5 AA Red Star or Relais & Châteaux properties.
  • Driven, passionate, adaptable, and focused on future growth.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, IT, and administrative skills.
  • Honest, transparent, and open-minded.
