Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Construction Plant) for a Midlands patch. The role involves field-based servicing, diagnostics and repair of construction machinery, primarily excavators and related heavy plant, with full product training provided.

You will work Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week, with no regular overnight stays and a Friday early finish. The position offers a competitive £40,000–£46,000 salary, overtime, pension, generous holiday, and clear progression

Qualifications

• Background in construction plant, heavy plant, agricultural machinery or heavy commercial vehicles / HGVs.
• Strong practical hydraulics and electrical diagnostic experience.
• Confident fault finding across heavy mobile machinery.
• Excavator experience advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Field-based servicing, diagnostics and repair of construction machinery (small to medium excavators and related heavy plant).
• Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault finding and breakdown diagnosis.
• Regional Midlands territory with no regular overnight stays; standard hours with Friday finish.
