Job summary

Macdonald & Company on behalf of our client is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join their Property Management team, covering the West Sussex area. The role offers varied responsibilities across a growing property portfolio and requires hands-on management of maintenance, contracts and compliance.

You will oversee service charge budgets, contractor performance, health and safety, and regular property inspections while building strong relationships with tenants and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities or property management.
• Experience managing maintenance, contractors, compliance and day-to-day property operations.
• Organised, proactive with strong tenant/stakeholder relations.
• Relevant qualifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Service charge budgeting, reconciliations and cost recovery.
• Planned and reactive maintenance.
• Contractor procurement and performance management.
• Statutory compliance and health & safety.
• Regular property inspections and maintenance reporting.
• Tenant enquiries and relationship management.
• Oversight of vacant properties and associated works.
• Working closely with Asset Managers, managing agents, contractors and other stakeholders.
