Job summary

Macdonald & Company is seeking an experienced Estates & Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of a diversified property portfolio, focusing on maximizing financial performance, legal compliance, and best-practice estate management.

You will handle lettings, renewals, rent reviews, and lease expiries, negotiate terms, conduct valuations, and liaise with legal advisers. A strong knowledge of RICS standards is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience managing operational and investment property portfolios.
• Knowledge of estate management best practices.
• Familiarity with RICS standards and valuations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management of a property portfolio including lettings, renewals and rent reviews.
• Negotiate lease terms, variations, surrenders and settlements; manage rent review disputes.
• Undertake property valuations to support lettings and investments.
• Market properties for sale or letting and manage transactions to completion.
• Liaise with legal advisers on leases, renewals and disposals.
• Administer service charges including budgeting and queries.
• Carry out property inspections ensuring lease compliance and routine maintenance.
• Monitor budgets and contribute to forecasting and financial planning.
