Job summary

Aurem Care is seeking a Regional Facilities Manager to oversee the safety, compliance and upkeep of care homes across the South of England. You will lead a seven‑person Maintenance Operatives team, manage budgets, and work with contractors to ensure high standards and resident safety.

The role requires regular travel and a hands‑on approach to maintenance while coordinating with Home Managers and executives.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, health & safety, and planned maintenance.
• Experience managing contractors, repairs, maintenance programmes and refurbishment projects.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and support a team of maintenance operatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and upkeep across all homes, managing buildings, grounds, plant, fixtures and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety, water hygiene, gas/electrical safety, and other statutory requirements; maintain audit-ready records.
• Manage the facilities budget, approve spend within limits, and report variances to leadership.
• Line manage and develop a team of seven Maintenance Operatives, schedule rotas and provide hands-on cover as needed.
• Manage estates contractors and suppliers, obtain quotes, and monitor service levels; maintain contract registers.
• Coordinate refurbishment and improvement projects, keeping to budgets and timelines; minimise disruption for residents.
