Job summary

BCG Cares seeks a Maintenance and Compliance Manager to lead the regional maintenance team and support care homes with refurbishment and upkeep, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while minimising disruption to residents and staff.

The role oversees projects from planning through completion, manages budgets, and collaborates with home teams to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness in a care-home environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in maintenance, refurbishment, or facilities management within the healthcare or care home sector.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, building codes, and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing teams and leading refurbishment or maintenance projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• A proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the regional maintenance team, providing guidance and support to home-based maintenance staff.
• Oversee all refurbishment and maintenance projects, ensuring they meet company quality standards.
• Ensure all work complies with legislative, regulatory, and health & safety requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain compliance with care home regulations and standards.
• Identify and implement improvements to maintenance processes, driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Work closely with care home teams to minimise disruption to residents and staff during refurbishment activities.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and best practices in maintenance and compliance.
