Job summary

Aurem Care are seeking a Regional Facilities Manager to ensure our care homes across the South of England are safe, compliant, well maintained and welcoming environments for residents and colleagues.

You will lead a seven‑strong Maintenance Operatives team, manage budgets, oversee compliance and drive refurbishment projects while working with contractors to uphold high standards in a hybrid role.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management, building maintenance or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, health and safety, and planned preventative maintenance.
• Experience managing contractors, repairs, maintenance programmes and refurbishment projects.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and support a team of maintenance operatives.
• A practical, hands-on approach with flexibility to provide maintenance cover when required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee maintenance across all homes, including buildings, grounds, plant and equipment.
• Ensure statutory compliance and health & safety obligations are met, including risk assessments and safety checks.
• Manage the facilities budget and track spend; contribute to annual budget planning.
• Line manage seven Maintenance Operatives and coordinate rotas, performance and training.
• Manage estates contractors, quotes, service levels and contract renewals.
• Organise refurbishment and repair projects within budgets and timescales.
• Participate in out-of-hours on-call rota and incident response.
