Job summary

Polaris Education seeks an Executive Headteacher to lead the Polaris South East and East of England region, overseeing up to six schools and the opening of at least one new school. This is a high-impact role for a visionary leader with a strong background in curriculum, school improvement, SEND and commercial acumen.

You will report to the Managing Director of Education, line-manage Headteachers, and drive safeguarding, regulatory compliance and ongoing improvement across the portfolio,

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with substantial educational leadership experience.
• National qualifications for executive leadership (NPQEL) or NPQH are highly desirable.
• Experience leading multi-site education provisions, including new school openings.
• Proven track record in SEND provision and complex needs.
• Strong knowledge of SEND Code of Practice, ISS and Ofsted requirements.
• Excellent commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and funding.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership for up to six schools and oversee new-school openings.
• Line manage Headteachers and support leadership development across the region.
• Drive curriculum design, teaching quality and learning outcomes across schools.
• Champion SEND provision and trauma-informed approaches within the portfolio.
• Ensure safeguarding, regulatory compliance and quality assurance across all sites.
• Lead strategic safeguarding and engage with external stakeholders and authorities.
• Oversee budget, admissions, and funding negotiations, including pupil premium.
