Polaris Education - Middlesbrough School is seeking a Headteacher to lead a small, SEN-focused setting. The role centers on educational leadership, safeguarding, curriculum development, and pastoral support for pupils aged 5-18 with complex needs.

You will shape a compassionate, inclusive school culture within the Polaris Community. The post requires QTS with primary/secondary experience, leadership capability, and a commitment to EHCP objectives.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with primary or secondary teaching experience.
• Suitable first degree and/or NPQH (not essential).
• Experience working with pupils with SEN and a deep understanding of their unique requirements.
• Proven leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Aufgaben

• Educational Leadership: Develop and implement a vision aligned with Polaris Community values and meet Independent School Standards and EIF.
• Safeguarding: Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and implement safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Curriculum Enhancement: Adapt and tailor the curriculum to diverse student needs for engaging learning journeys.
• Pastoral Care and SEN Advocacy: Champion emotional wellbeing and SEN rights within EHCP objectives.
• Staff Development: Support and mentor staff with continuous professional growth.
• Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, carers and external partners.
