Job summary

Polaris Education is seeking an Executive Headteacher to lead the South East and East of England region, overseeing up to six schools and driving the opening of at least one new school. This is an influential role reporting to the Managing Director of Education, with focus on curriculum, SEND and commercial acumen.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with significant leadership experience.
• NPQH or NPQEL or higher degree in Education leadership.
• Experience leading multi-site specialist schools and opening new schools.
• Strong knowledge of SEND Code of Practice, ISS and Ofsted requirements.
• Excellent commercial acumen and financial stewardship of schools.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership and School Improvement across up to six schools; openness to new openings.
• Line management and staff development of Headteachers and SLT.
• Oversee curriculum, teaching quality and learning across portfolios.
• Manage SEND provision and stakeholder engagement with local authorities and partners.
• Lead safeguarding strategy as region’s safeguarding lead and ensure compliance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with ISS, Ofsted and safeguarding regulations.
• Maintain strong commercial understanding; manage admissions, funding and finances.
• Foster a compassionate, growth-focused culture across schools.
