Job summary

Bannatyne is seeking a Regional Estates Manager to oversee maintenance, safety, compliance and refurbishment across a designated region. You will lead planned and reactive work with General Managers and contractors to deliver cost-effective, high-quality solutions.

Based mainly in the East and South-East of England, you will travel to sites as needed, manage budgets, and drive energy efficiency while ensuring high standards for members and guests alike.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in estates or facilities management.
• Strong technical knowledge of building maintenance and M&E systems.
• Proven experience managing refurbishment or construction projects.
• Solid understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Budget management and cost-control experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organised, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel and stay overnight when required.
• Experience in leisure, health club, spa or hospitality environments is desirable; NEBOSH or IOSH certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Lead refurbishment and renovation projects from concept to completion.
• Manage budgets, controlling costs without compromising quality.
• Build relationships with contractors and suppliers, managing SLAs.
• Conduct regular site visits to inspect standards and risks.
• Act as contact for emergency and urgent maintenance issues.
• Support energy-saving and sustainability initiatives across the estate.
• Maintain accurate records of estate assets and works.
