Job summary

The Portfolio Group are recruiting for an ER-focused HR professional to join its client-facing team, delivering employee relations support across a growing professional services client base.

The role involves attending client sites to manage disciplinary, grievance, capability and appeal meetings, advising on investigations and settlements, and producing accurate case summaries to help employers reach the right outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR consultancy, HR management, employee relations or employment law.
• Strong knowledge of disciplinary, grievance and investigation processes.
• Confidence sitting in formal meetings and handling difficult conversations.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Flexibility to travel to client sites across the UK, sometimes at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Attend client sites to support and conduct disciplinary, grievance, capability and appeal meetings.
• Advise on investigations, employee disputes and settlement discussions.
• Handle sensitive situations professionally, impartially and in line with employment legislation.
• Identify risks and provide clear, practical advice to clients.
• Produce accurate case summaries and help clients reach the right outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with clients across a varied portfolio of businesses.
