Job summary

The Portfolio Group in the UK is seeking an ER-focused HR professional to join a growing client-facing team, handling employee relations and advising on sensitive issues.

You will attend disciplinary, grievance, and investigation meetings at client sites and provide practical, compliant guidance. This role blends home-based work with client visits across the UK and offers opportunities to deepen expertise in employment law and case reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR consultancy, HR management, employee relations or employment law.
• Strong knowledge of disciplinary, grievance and investigation processes.
• Confident in formal meetings and handling difficult conversations.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Willingness to travel to client sites across the UK, sometimes at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Attending client sites to support and conduct disciplinary, grievance, capability and appeal meetings.
• Advising employers on investigations, employee disputes and settlement discussions.
• Handling sensitive situations professionally, impartially and in line with employment legislation.
• Identifying risks and providing clear, practical advice to clients.
• Producing accurate case summaries and helping clients reach the right outcomes.
• Building strong relationships with clients across a varied portfolio of businesses.
