Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Regional EHS Manager to lead environmental, health and safety across multi-country projects in the UK, France and Spain. You will shape a proactive safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive incidents and audit processes across multiple sites.

The role demands strategic oversight with practical operational support in high-risk, project-led environments, including offshore and onshore activities, and up to 40% travel.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH qualification or equivalent recognised health and safety certification.
• IOSH membership or a similar professional EHS credential.
• Significant EHS leadership experience in a complex industrial, engineering, construction, energy, offshore, or similar high-risk environment.
• Experience leading EHS programmes across multiple countries, sites, or project locations.
• Strong knowledge of core health and safety programmes (Lockout/Tagout, confined space, electrical safety, contractor safety, hazardous chemicals).
• Understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Proven ability to lead audits, investigations, reporting, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication and influencing skills across a multicultural, multi-site organisation.
• Fluent English, with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Full right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%.
• Desirable: grid/power/renewables/EPC experience.
• Degree in engineering or environmental science; additional professional certifications in safety/environmental management.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead and develop the regional EHS organisation across multiple sites.
• Drive EHS performance, culture and consistent execution regionally.
• Implement GE Vernova EHS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Define expectations for safe work across complex multi-contractor environments.
• Lead audits and incident investigations; drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate EHS training and organisational capability.
• Monitor regulatory developments and industry practices.
• Establish regional EHS operating rhythm and reporting.
