Job summary

Vertical Recruitment Limited is partnering with a leading international construction and property consultancy to appoint a Regional Director for the North West region, based in Manchester. You will lead a regional team of ~10 professionals, drive growth, manage NEC-based projects, and shape strategic direction while staying client-facing.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering infrastructure or utilities projects within a consultancy
• Experience administering and managing NEC3/NEC4 contracts
• Proven track record of winning work and developing client relationships
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams
• Strong commercial awareness with project profitability and forecasting responsibilities
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or related field
• MRICS or equivalent professional qualification desirable

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the regional Infrastructure & Utilities team across Manchester and the North West
• Drive business growth through client development and successful work-winning activity
• Take ownership of regional financial performance including revenue, profitability and P&L
• Provide commercial leadership across major infrastructure commissions under NEC contracts
• Build, mentor and develop high-performing teams, supporting recruitment and succession planning
• Foster long-term relationships with existing clients and identify expansion opportunities
• Lead bid submissions, fee proposals and strategic pursuits for new work
• Ensure governance, commercial controls and QA standards across all projects
• Collaborate with the wider leadership team to grow the Infrastructure & Utilities business
