Job summary

Vertical Recruitment Limited is helping a global consultancy appoint a Director-level Quantity Surveyor to lead major commissions in the North West. You will stay close to delivery while shaping client strategy, mentoring teams and driving regional growth across infrastructure, energy, nuclear and industrial programmes.

As Director you’ll own major commercial packages, develop key client relationships and work with the leadership team to influence business development and the long-term direction

Qualifications

• Significant Quantity Surveying and commercial management experience.
• Experience operating at Associate Director or Director level.
• Strong client relationship and business development capability.
• Background across infrastructure, utilities, energy, nuclear, industrial or process sectors.
• Excellent NEC3/NEC4 contract knowledge.
• Experience leading, mentoring and developing commercial teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead major Quantity Surveying and commercial management commissions from a strategic and delivery perspective.
• Build and strengthen relationships with key infrastructure, utilities, energy and nuclear clients.
• Identify new opportunities, support business development and contribute to regional growth.
• Lead, mentor and develop high-performing commercial teams.
• Oversee commercial performance, fee management and profitability across commissions.
• Provide senior commercial advice across complex NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
• Maintain strong standards of governance, risk management and project delivery.
• Contribute to wider business planning and long-term strategic direction.
