Job summary

Hertfordshire County Council, hosting on behalf of the Eastern Region, seeks a Data and Performance Quality Manager to drive regional performance improvement. Qualifications

• Significant experience of data analysis, performance management and reporting within public sector.
• Strong analytical skills with large datasets from multiple organisations.
• Experience developing dashboards and performance reporting tools, ideally using Power BI.
• Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to senior leaders and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience supporting service improvement through evidence-based challenge and performance insight.
• Understanding of local government and children’s services.
• Collaborative approach with the ability to influence change across partner organisations.

Responsibilities

• Develop regional performance reporting and dashboards, including Foster East Power BI dashboard and Regional Placement Sufficiency Dashboards.
• Analyse data from multiple local authorities to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead the collation and analysis of KPIs provided by Regional Framework Providers to assess performance and compliance.
• Support senior leaders and partners to use data and insight to inform strategic decision-making.
• Interpret national policy and performance requirements to drive service improvement and consistency across the region.
• Present analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders, including Directors of Children's Services.
• Provide training, mentoring and support to colleagues to build confidence and capability in data use.
