Job summary

Slough Borough Council is seeking a Senior Data & Performance Analyst to provide strategic leadership for data analysis, performance management and business intelligence across Early Years, Best Start in Life, Family Hubs and the Family Information Service.

This is a pivotal role leading the production of performance frameworks, analysing complex datasets from multiple sources, and delivering authoritative insights to senior leaders, partners and elected members.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading data analysis and performance management.
• Ability to turn complex datasets into clear insights for decision-making.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and assurance of performance frameworks.
• Analyse complex datasets from multiple sources and provide authoritative insights to senior leaders.
• Produce and quality-assure analytical products including the Childcare Sufficiency Assessment.
• Develop forecasting and demand models; create dashboards and reports using Power BI, SQL and Excel.
• Explain trends, identify risks and inequalities, and shape future priorities.
