Job summary

West Sussex County Council is recruiting a Senior Performance Analyst to support the Children’s Services Data and Performance Team. Based at County Hall, Chichester with hybrid working (2 days in the office), you will develop Power BI dashboards, run SQL-based reports, and provide insightful performance analysis to aid strategic and operational decision-making.

The role requires a degree or equivalent, strong data skills, and ability to present complex data clearly.

Qualifications

Very computer literate with strong IT skills to develop information systems and analyze data.
Professional with the ability to influence decisions through negotiation and persuasion.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to convey information clearly.
Strong literacy and numeracy to analyse data and present results effectively.
Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and manage workload.

Responsibilities

Collect, process, and analyse data to support statutory, strategic, and operational responsibilities.
Gather information from service operations and multiple sources using inquisitive mind and good communication skills.
Cleanse, integrate, and analyse data and present results using charts, graphs, infographics.
Create, produce and maintain regular performance reports and dashboards on Power BI.
