Job Description:
The main objective of the role:
- Manage relationships between Aspen and UK Wholesalers (AAH, Alliance, Phoenix, Mawdsley Brooks, and some short line), and major UK retail (Boots, Superdrug, Well)
- Oversee the Ireland business (wholesale, retail, hospital)
- Lead sales performance and guide the UK & Ireland commercial team in collaboration with Finance Head and Head of North Europe
- Lead the commercial team (4 FTE – 2 NAM, 1 Account Executive, 1 Analyst) to meet sales targets, focusing on KPIs for Operating Profit
- Collaborate with marketing to maximize initiatives for the branded OTC business (e.g., Emla)
- Manage interface with Logistic Service provider, Movianto
- Report to the Head of Northern Europe, providing updates on strategy, performance, and challenges
Additional duties include:
- Negotiate with customers and suppliers to maximize ROI
- Understand current product portfolio and identify market trends and threats
- Maintain reports on budgets, revenue, and discounts
- Support other departments with commercial process queries (Regulatory, Marketing)
- Manage commercial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
- Responsible for sales planning, forecasting, and meeting quotas, discounts, and expenses
- Lead a team with energy and a positive attitude
- Motivate and develop Account Managers and the Commercial Analyst
- Ensure compliance with ABPI and regulatory requirements
- Meet sales targets and optimize operational performance
- Negotiate pricing, promotions, and sell-through strategies
- Support Aspen’s product distribution to wholesale and retail chains using promotional techniques
