Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is hiring a Class 2 Driver to perform multi-drop home deliveries to customers’ rooms, following a two-week rotating shift.

You will maintain tachograph records, ensure accurate paperwork, and communicate delivery ETAs clearly. The role requires a valid Cat C licence with CPC, HIAB qualification, and DBS eligibility. Competitive pay and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with category C and up-to-date CPC.
• HIAB licence with brick grab ticket (ALLMI or equivalent).
• No more than 6 penalty points and clean on endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Providing multi-drop home deliveries directly to the customer's chosen room, averaging 16 deliveries per day in quieter months and up to 24 during peak season
• Maintain accurate driving/working time records using Tachomaster system and manual entries to record all working hours as required by WTD regulations
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner
• Ensure all products are checked off the vehicle and the customer receive the correct products and delivery documentation
• Keep customers informed of their estimated time of delivery and where issues occur; communicate politely
• Be prepared to commute between Derby, Crewe and Nottingham stores; follow a two-week rotating shift pattern, 40 hrs per week

Job description

• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner
• Ensure all products are checked off the vehicle and the customer receive the correct products and delivery documentation
• Keep customers informed of their estimated time of delivery and where issues occur communicate with in a polite and courteous mannerAre you looking to put your Class 2 (Cat C) driving skills to good use in a customer-focused position? Do you enjoy delivering products directly to customers' homes? Do you believe great customer service is just as important as a successful delivery?, Previous experience in multidrop, store deliveries preferable but not essential
• A full UK driving licence with category C Entitlement with an up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
• A valid HIAB licence with brick grab ticket (ALLMI or equivalent), where held
• Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal
• Willingness to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check)

• You’ll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, following a two-week rotating shift pattern: Week 1 - Monday to Friday/ Week 2 - Tuesday to Saturday, with start time between 07:00 and 11:00, contracted to 40hrs per week.

As a Driver, you'll receive a competitive pay and benefits package, depending on the licence held:

Pay Rates: Class 2 Driver

• An hourly rate of £16.29, that is an annual salary of £33,883.20
• Overtime pay of £24.44 per hour (when applicable, paid over 40hrs)

Class 2 Driver (HIAB Qualified)

• An hourly rate of £17.71 that is an annual salary of £36,836.80
• Overtime pay of £26.57 per hour (when applicable, paid over 40hrs)
