Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Class 2 Driver to perform multi-drop home deliveries across designated routes in the Poole area. The role requires a full UK Cat C licence with CPC and a valid Digital Tachograph, plus a HIAB ticket.

You will join a two-week rotating shift and be paid hourly with overtime options. Responsibilities include accurate time-keeping, safe vehicle operation, and ensuring customers receive the correct goods with proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Cat C entitlement, plus CPC and Digital Tachograph.
• Up to 6 penalty points on licence (excluding restricted endorsements).
• HIAB licence with brick grab ticket (ALLMI or equivalent).
• Willingness to undertake DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Provide multi-drop home deliveries to customers, averaging 16–24 drops daily.
• Maintain accurate driving/working time records using Tachomaster and manual entries per WTD regulations.
• Operate company vehicles safely, legally and efficiently.
• Ensure correct products and delivery documentation are checked off and delivered.
• Keep customers informed of ETA and communicate politely if issues arise.

Job description

• Providing multi-drop home deliveries directly to the customer's chosen room, averaging 16 deliveries per day in quieter months and up to 24 during peak season
• Maintain accurate driving/working time records using the Tachomaster system and manual entries to record all working hours as required by the WTD regulations
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner
• Ensure all products are checked off the vehicle and the customer receive the correct products and delivery documentation
• Keep customers informed of their estimated time of delivery and where issues occur communicate with in a polite and courteous manner

  Are you looking to put your Class 2 (Cat C) driving skills to good use in a customer-focused position? Do you enjoy delivering products directly to customers' homes? Do you believe great customer service is just as important as a successful delivery?, Previous experience in multidrop, store deliveries preferable but not essential

• A full UK driving licence with category C Entitlement with an up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
• A valid HIAB licence with brick grab ticket (ALLMI or equivalent), where held
• Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal
• Willingness to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check)
• Be prepared to commute between Hedge End, Havant and Poole

  You'll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, following a two-week rotating shift pattern: Week 1 - Monday to Friday/ Week 2 - Tuesday to Saturday, with start time between 07:00 and 11:00, contracted to 40hrs per week.

As a Driver, you'll receive a competitive pay and benefits package, depending on the licence held:

Pay Rates: Class 2 Driver

• An hourly rate of £16.85, that is an annual salary of £35,048.00
• Overtime pay of £25.28 per hour (when applicable, paid over 40hrs)

Class 2 Driver (HIAB Qualified)

• An hourly rate of £17.68, that is an annual salary of £36,774.40
• Overtime pay of £26.52 per hour (when applicable, paid over 40hrs)
