Job summary

GXO Logistics, in partnership with B&Q, seeks a Regional Class 2 Driver to support store-to-home deliveries from Derby, Crewe and Nottingham. This full-time, permanent role follows a two-week rotating shift pattern with start times between 07:00 and 11:00 and a 40-hour week.

You’ll need a Category C licence with CPC and a valid HIAB brick-grab ticket; no more than six penalty points. Overtime rates apply, and benefits include annual CPC training, pension, store discount, and access to GXO

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with category C entitlement, current CPC and valid digital tachograph.
• HIAB licence with brick grab ticket (ALLMI or equivalent).
• No more than 6 penalty points; no disqualifying endorsements; willing to undertake DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Provide multi-drop home deliveries to customers, typically 16–24 per day depending on season.
• Maintain accurate driving and working time records using Tachomaster as required by WTD regulations.
• Operate company vehicles safely, legally and efficiently.
• Check off products on delivery, ensure correct documentation is provided to customers.
• Keep customers informed of delivery ETA and address any issues courteously.

Job description

Are you looking to put your Class 2 (Cat C) driving skills to good use in a customer-focused position? Do you enjoy delivering products directly to customers' homes? Do you believe great customer service is just as important as a successful delivery?

Here at GXO, we're working together with B&Q and are looking for highly experienced Regional Class 2 Driver to join our Store to Home team (applications from HIAB-qualified drivers are encouraged). In this role you will support deliveries from our Derby, Crewe and Nottingham stores therefore flexibility is essential.

You'll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, following a two-week rotating shift pattern: Week 1 - Monday to Friday/ Week 2 - Tuesday to Saturday, with start time between 07:00 and 11:00, contracted to 40hrs per week.

Pay Rates:

Class 2 Driver

• An hourly rate of £16.29, that is an annual salary of £33,883.20
• Overtime pay of £24.44 per hour (when applicable, paid over 40hrs)

Class 2 Driver (HIAB Qualified)

• An hourly rate of £17.71 that is an annual salary of £36,836.80
• Overtime pay of £26.57 per hour (when applicable, paid over 40hrs)

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Providing multi drop home deliveries directly to the customer's chosen room, averaging 16 deliveries per day in quieter months and up to 24 during peak season
• Maintain accurate driving/working time records using the Tachomaster system and manual entries to record all working hours as required by the WTD regulations
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner
• Ensure all products are checked off the vehicle and the customer receive the correct products and delivery documentation
• Keep customers informed of their estimated time of delivery and where issues occur communicate with in a polite and courteous manner

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous experience in multidrop, store deliveries preferable but not essential
• A full UK driving licence with category C Entitlement with an up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
• A valid HIAB licence with brick grab ticket (ALLMI or equivalent), where held
• Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal
• Willingness to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check)
• Be prepared to commute between Derby, Crewe and Nottingham stores
