Job summary

Millennium Hotels and Resorts in London seeks a Regional Chief Engineering to oversee building services across all properties, maintain plant and equipment, and safeguard assets while upholding health and safety standards.

The role requires proven leadership, extensive experience in hotel facilities management, budgeting, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects across sites to drive operational efficiency and energy conservation.

Qualifications

• 10 years straight employment in chosen field after graduation
• Minimum 5 years in supervisory roles
• Held Chief Engineer or similar property maintenance management title in a hotel
• Proven record in management, budgeting and goal setting
• Motivational leadership, problem solving, planning and training subordinates
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects with strategic overview

Responsibilities

• Function as primary support to facilities by request, ensuring facility is current with company engineering standards
• Ensure properties adhere to prescribed maintenance standards and perform equipment audits within safety and asset protection systems
• Oversee energy conservation and develop property-specific plans to reduce consumption and costs
• Train and develop Chief Engineers on utilities, HVAC, electrical, and safety programs
• Advise senior management on engineering support and operational efficiency of building services
• Procure and manage reactive and preventative maintenance plans for all group hotels
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and fire life safety codes; test and inspect equipment and maintain records
