Job summary

Ex-Mill Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Chief Engineer to lead engineering and maintenance for a large property in London, overseeing M&E, HVAC, life-safety and a multidisciplinary team. You will drive safety, reliability and cost efficiency across facilities and projects.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will own preventative maintenance, manage budgets, coordinate contractors and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.

Qualifications

• Leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience with complex plant and building systems.
• Ability to plan preventative and reactive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations.
• Manage mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and life-safety systems.
• Develop and manage the Planned Preventative Maintenance programme.
• Prioritise reactive maintenance and allocate work across the team.
• Ensure safety, reliability and compliance with HSE standards.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee contractor engagement and system upgrades.
