Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm Regional Bank Chef to support culinary operations across our South West and Midlands homes. You will lead a culinary team, plan nutritionally balanced menus, and ensure meals meet residents' needs while staying within budget.

Travel between homes, supervise kitchen staff, and uphold food safety standards. NVQ3 in Food Production or equivalent, COSHH knowledge, and 5+ years of kitchen experience preferred. DBS check required and will be funded by Avery.

Qualifications

• Experience leading busy kitchens and managing a culinary team.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety and current food safety legislation.
• COSHH knowledge and managing cleaning to high standards.
• NVQ 3 in Food Production or equivalent / IDDSI training.
• Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritionally balanced menu plans for approval by Home Manager.
• Take account of dietary needs and retain records for inspection.
• Place orders with approved suppliers within budget, maintain stock levels.
• Supervise kitchen staff and demonstrate food prep to junior staff.
• Ensure high standards of hygiene and food safety across kitchens.
