Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group seeks a Regional Bank Chef to support culinary operations across Midlands homes. You will lead a kitchen team, create nutritionally balanced menus, and ensure meals meet high hygiene and budget standards while visiting multiple sites.

The role requires 5+ years in busy kitchens, strong leadership, and knowledge of health and safety, COSHH, and relevant catering qualifications. Travel across the Midlands and North is required.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a busy kitchen with 5+ years in a culinary role.
• Knowledge of health and safety and current food safety legislation.
• COSHH knowledge and maintaining cleaning to 5-star standards.
• NVQ 3 in Food Production or equivalent, City and Guilds 706-1/706-2.
• Ability to work in a team and demonstrate leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritionally balanced menu plans for each home.
• Place orders with approved suppliers within budget.
• Supervise kitchen staff and Host team; train unqualified staff.
• Demonstrate safe food handling per Avery standards.
• Travel to homes across the Midlands and North regions.
