Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Regional Bank Chef to oversee daily culinary operations across multiple homes in the north. You will lead a team to deliver nutritionally balanced meals within budget while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

The role requires extensive kitchen management experience, knowledge of health and safety regulations, and NVQ 3 in Food Production or equivalent. You will travel between homes, ensuring consistent quality and staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a busy kitchen within a care/home setting.
• Knowledge of health and safety and current food safety legislation.
• COSHH and keeping culinary area cleaned to high standards (5-star rating).
• NVQ 3 in Food Production or equivalent; IDDSI/training in textured modified diets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritionally balanced menu plans for approval by Home Manager, considering dietary needs and keeping records.
• Place food orders with approved suppliers, within budget limits and stock control procedures.
• Supervise and direct the kitchen and Host team, training unqualified staff in basic prep.
• Apply Avery Food Safety Management system and uphold the highest standards of hygiene.
