Avery Healthcare is seeking a regional bank chef to supervise kitchens across its elderly care homes in the Hull and East Yorkshire area. The role involves planning nutritionally balanced menus, ordering within budget, and leading kitchen and Host staff while travelling between homes.

You will have a minimum of five years' culinary experience and hold a catering qualification or equivalent, along with a DBS disclosure check and the right to work in the UK.

Competenze

• Minimum of 5 years' culinary experience
• DBS disclosure check and right to work in the UK
• NVQ 3 in Food Production or City & Guilds catering qualifications

Mansioni

• Supervise and direct kitchen staff and the Host team
• Prepare nutritionally balanced menu plans for Home Manager approval, accommodating dietary needs and keeping records
• Place food orders with approved suppliers within authority levels and budget limits
• Maintain stock levels and control of provisions
• Support the daily operations of the culinary department
• Ensure food preparation meets hygiene standards under the Avery Food Safety Management system
• Instruct and demonstrate simple food preparation to unqualified staff
• Travel to homes across the region
