Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Regional Bank Chef to support our homes across Eastbourne, Kent and Essex. You will lead a culinary team, plan nutritionally balanced menus, manage budgets, and ensure high standards of food safety and quality.

The role involves travel between sites, leadership responsibilities, and working within our values of care, respect and accountability. A DBS check and proof of eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing a busy kitchen.
• Knowledge of health and safety, and current food safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritionally balanced menu plans for approval by the Home Manager.
• Take account of any special dietary needs and retain records for inspection purposes.
• Place food orders with approved suppliers, maintaining stock levels within budget.
• Supervise and direct the work of kitchen staff and the Host team, and train unqualified staff.
• Comply with the Avery Food Safety Management system and ensure high hygiene standards.
