Job summary

Shared Services Partnership is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance and caretaking activities in our care home operations. The role focuses on delivering clean, safe, and pleasant surroundings for residents and staff, with emphasis on safety, compliance, and efficient service delivery.

You will oversee routine maintenance, supervise housekeeping teams, and support the Registered Manager while building positive relationships with residents and colleagues to uphold high standards

Qualifications

• Experience with health and safety regulation compliance.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks reliably.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating teams.
• Strong collaboration and communication within a care home setting.
• Empathy and understanding toward residents' needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide and manage the delivery of minor essential caretaking, cleaning and routine repair and maintenance work for buildings, furniture and fittings, as well as the maintenance of grounds and gardens within the home.
• Support the Registered Manager to ensure high standards of cleanliness, an efficient service and Health and Safety compliance at all times.
• Undertake health and safety checks, test and record fire and security alarms systems and equipment and test and record water temperatures and content in accordance with procedures.
