Job summary

South East Water is recruiting a regional Asset Owner to lead a team and drive long-term asset management for Sussex/West water assets, translating strategic needs into base and enhancement investments. You will chair the Regional Risk & Resilience Forum, oversee modelling and plans, and collaborate across Water Supply, Engineering, and Water Resources to ensure continued supply and resilience.

The role requires a degree or equivalent, IAM certification desirable, and a track record in water

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or equivalent accreditation.
• IAM Certificate/Diploma desirable to demonstrate best-practice commitment.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior management across the organisation.
• Ability to think long term and develop Regional Whole Life asset management strategies.
• Teamwork and stakeholder management at a senior level to balance regulatory and internal needs.
• Significant asset management experience, preferably in the water sector.
• Experience in asset planning and risk identification.
• Knowledgeable in water distribution networks or production assets and processes.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks and price review cycles.

Responsibilities

• Lead a regional team of 8-10 Asset Management Planners and Modellers.
• Own the Asset Owner role for the Region's water assets.
• Chair the Regional Risk & Resilience Forum and manage risks, service, and investment needs.
• Undertake the Project Sponsor role for complex schemes in Sussex/West.
• Assure asset planners' work from Phases 0-2 of the project lifecycle and translate needs into plans.
