Job summary

South East Water seeks an experienced Asset Owner to lead a team of 8–10 Asset Management Planners and Modellers, directing regional asset strategies for the Sussex/West area and translating needs into whole life costed options.

You will chair the Regional Risk & Resilience Forum, manage complex investment schemes, and drive regional AM plans and governance across AMP9 onwards to ensure continued service and resilience.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline (e.g., Engineering, Water Management, Science or Business) or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Professional certification in Asset Management (e.g., IAM Certificate/Diploma) is highly desirable to demonstrate commitment to best practice.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior management and directors.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day leadership of a team of 8-10 Asset Management Planners and Modellers.
• Undertake delegated Asset Owner role for the Region's water assets, on behalf of Head of Asset Management.
• Chair the Regional Risk & Resilience Forum and manage risks, service provision and investment needs.
• Undertake the Project Sponsor role for complex investment schemes in Sussex/West.
• Assure the investment needs development in Sussex/West through Phases 0-2 of the project lifecycle.
• Own and produce the Regional AM strategy for the Region.
• Direct the development of Operational Zone Asset management Plans.
• Oversee modelling capability for Sussex/West, ensuring consistency across Demand, Scheme and incident modelling.
