Job summary

Millbrook Healthcare in Devon’s Community Equipment Service Centre is seeking an Operations Team Leader for Recycling & Refurbishment. You will lead refurbishment and decontamination operations, ensure equipment is cleaned, disinfected, refurbished and released safely, and drive efficiency and service quality.

You’ll supervise operatives, enforce COSHH and PPE rules, coach the team, and collaborate with transport, stores and repairs to deliver end-to-end service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading refurbishment/decontamination teams.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety and infection control principles.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Hands-on leader with proactive approach and coaching ability.
• Proven ability to manage workloads and priorities.
• Experience in a healthcare-related environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead refurbishment and decontamination operatives to achieve daily output and quality targets.
• Ensure compliance with COSHH, PPE, manual handling and safe systems of work.
• Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching and support to team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with transport, stores and repairs teams for end-to-end service delivery.
• Conduct routine quality checks and audits to ensure equipment safety and readiness for reuse.
