Job summary

Speedy Group in Tamworth is seeking a Refurb Engineer to take responsibility for repair, maintenance, testing and inspection of hire fleet equipment, mainly light plant and power equipment. You will work at the Tamworth depot, with a Monday to Friday 40-hour week (07:30–17:00).

The role emphasizes safety, compliance with manufacturer specs, and contributing to ESG initiatives. The successful candidate will have mechanical engineering experience, good computer skills (Microsoft Office), strong

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical engineering experience is essential, ideally within hire or engineering.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Able to work under pressure and as part of a team.
• Commercially aware and able to plan and organise work.
• Support ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.

Refurb Engineer - Tamworth

Monday to Friday - 40 Hours - 07:30 to 17:00

Based in the depot in Tamworth,We are looking to recruit aRefurb Engineer. The overall purposeof this role is to provide overall responsibility for the repair, maintenance, testing and inspection of hire fleet equipment, predominantly light plant and power equipment that is either on hire/on-site/at depots or returned to workshops by depots in the region, ensuring that all work undertaken is safe and complies with Speedy safety standards and is in line with manufactures specifications.

• Previous mechanical engineering experience is essential, ideally gained within the hire industry or other engineering field
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Able to work under pressure and as part of a team
• Commercially aware
• Able to understand the priorities, plan and organise the work and manage own time to deliver within the expected timescales
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
