Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £50,027.05 Total Salary (Inclusive of Standby Payment), Overtime, Travel Time, 33 Days Holiday, Private Pension & Benefits - Including Private Health Care, Life Insurance, Employee Discounts

Role Overview

This is a key position responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across several Asda site locations. You will be the first point of contact for all service and maintenance needs at your assigned sites.

You will maintain and repair Refrigeration Equipment in customer locations and assist with HVAC equipment containing refrigeration circuits. Engineering teams provide 24-hour service coverage throughout the year, including participation in standby rota procedures.

Key Accountabilities

1. Prioritize maintenance and repair work to meet specified response and completion times.
2. Identify faults that cannot be repaired and advise the Line Manager with recommendations for replacements.
3. Ensure PPM schedules are completed on time and all paperwork is accurately filled out according to procedures.
4. Maintain up-to-date technical and compliance documentation.
5. Participate in out-of-hours standby rota and communicate cover requirements due to holidays or unforeseen circumstances.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• NVQ/C&G Refrigeration Based Qualification
• Refrigerant Handling C&G 2079 or equivalent CITB certificate
• Knowledge of Refrigeration, Electrical, Air Conditioning, and Mechanical systems
• BS7671 (IEE 16/17th Edition)

The Ideal Candidate

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Full driving license
• Based in Swindon and surrounding areas
