Job description

Job Title: Senior Refrigeration Engineer

Refrigeration and Air Conditioning clients are currently seeking a qualified Senior Refrigeration Engineer to join their growing team. The successful applicant will be fully trained to work on the servicing and maintenance of refrigeration equipment. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an exciting and rapidly expanding company based throughout Ireland.

Responsibilities:

1. Undertake planned and reactive service jobs.
2. Plan and complete installations and refits.
3. Train apprentices.
4. Handle service-related customer queries with a focus on customer service and professionalism.
5. Determine root causes, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues using problem-solving techniques effectively and promptly.
6. Work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment.
7. Liaise daily with the Planning Administration team to achieve targets.
8. Work as part of a team; strong teamwork skills are required.
9. Manage the field service process end-to-end.
10. Prepare and complete service reports after site visits.
11. Ensure compliance with F-gas regulations.
12. Follow Health & Safety requirements.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Qualified Refrigeration Engineer with at least 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
• Full accreditation for refrigeration F-Gas Certification.
• Full clean driver's license is essential.
• High attention to detail, compliance, and service report writing skills.
• Manual Handling and Safe-pass Training (beneficial but not essential; training will be provided).
• Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Proven ability to work on own initiative.
• Accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• Leadership experience is desirable.
• Flexible, reliable, and punctual.
• Keen interest in undertaking specialized training (training provided).
• IT literate.
