Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join their team on a supermarket contract across Derbyshire/Staffordshire. The role involves maintaining, servicing and repairing refrigeration equipment at customer locations and assisting HVAC systems containing refrigeration circuits.

The ideal candidate will have minimum 3 years' experience in commercial refrigeration, hydrocarbon and CO2 training (provided), IPAF MEWPS, and 18th Edition wiring.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years refrigeration experience on commercial equipment.
• Hydrocarbon training is provided.
• CO2 refrigeration training/certification will be provided.
• IPAF 3a,b MEWPS training will be provided.
• Electrical fault finding / wiring (18th edition) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise maintenance and repair work to meet timescales and response times.
• Identify non-repairable faults and advise on replacements.
• Ensure PPM schedules are completed accurately and on time.
• Complete all technical and compliance paperwork.
• Order and fit parts or components per procedures.
• Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by supervisor/RFM.

My client is on the lookout for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

The role will involve maintaining, servicing and repairing Refrigeration Equipment in customer locations and provide assistance to HVAC equipment containing refrigeration circuits.

Key Responsibilities – Refrigeration Engineer

• Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
• Identify non-repairable faults promptly advise the Line manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacements.
• To ensure PPM schedules are completed within agreed timescales and that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
• Ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is always completed and up to date.
• To order and fit parts or components as prescribed by company procedures.
• To carry out surveys and complete reports as required by the refrigeration supervisor/ RFM.

Qualifications & Experience – Refrigeration Engineer

• Minimum 3-years refrigeration experience on commercial / refrigeration

On Offer – Refrigeration Engineer

• OTE £60,000 (based on typical engineer earnings over the last 12 months)
• 40 hour working week, overtime payable for time over contracted hours
• Planned on-call rota 1 in 4 weeks (hours of work paid in addition to standby payment)
• 25 days + 8 bank holidays
• Travel time after ½ hour each way
• Van, fuel card, tools, uniform, IT equipment provided
