Job summary

Pure Talent Group is seeking a Refrigeration Engineer to join its East Anglia service team. You’ll service, maintain and fault-find commercial refrigeration equipment, with some air conditioning work, on customer sites across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire.

You’ll manage your own site visits, enjoy a 40-hour week, a basic salary of £42,000–£45,000, paid travel time, overtime at enhanced rates, a company van and tablet, plus 20 days’ annual leave and pension. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ experience servicing and maintaining commercial refrigeration equipment.
• F-Gas Category 1 certification.
• City & Guilds Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
• Hydrocarbon certification and IPAF/PASMA would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Investigating breakdowns, identifying faults and completing effective repairs.
• Carrying out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Keeping customers informed about repairs and any follow-up work required.
• Completing clear service reports using a company-provided tablet.
• Sharing knowledge and supporting less experienced engineers.
• Taking part in a shared out-of-hours call-out rota.

Are you a refrigeration engineer who enjoys getting to the root of a breakdown and taking ownership of the repair?

We’re recruiting for an established engineering business looking to strengthen its service team across East Anglia. Applications are welcome from engineers based in Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex or Cambridgeshire.

The role centres on commercial refrigeration servicing, maintenance and fault-finding, with additional work on air conditioning equipment. You’ll manage your own site visits, supported by the wider engineering team.

The work

What you’ll need

• A valid CSCS card and full UK driving licence.
• A practical approach to diagnostics and confidence working independently.
• Good communication skills and flexibility to support the service team.
• Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check for relevant customer sites.
• Hydrocarbon certification would be an advantage.
• IPAF and PASMA would also be useful.
