Job summary

Bailey & Bowes Ltd in London/ Home Counties is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to service and install commercial refrigeration equipment across a varied client base including restaurants, pubs, hotels and schools.

You’ll work with upright and under-counter fridges, freezers, display chillers, cold rooms and ice machines, supported by the company’s training academy to stay up to date with the latest technology and standards. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with commercial refrigeration equipment.
• F-Gas certification required.
• NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Professional approach and strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair upright & under-counter fridges and freezers.
• Service display refrigeration and cold rooms.
• Support ice machines and bottle coolers.
• Attend to various commercial refrigeration equipment across sites.
• Collaborate with clients in restaurants, hotels, schools and hospitals.

Refrigeration Engineer

Location: London / Home Counties

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000

The Package

• £45,000 – £50,000 basic salary
• £10,000 travel paid
• 40-hour working week
• 25 days holiday + bank holidays
• 1 in 5 on-call rota – £100 standby allowance
• Optional overtime
• Early starts paid at double time before 6am
• Overtime paid at 1.5x after your standard 40 hours

The Role

• Upright & under-counter fridges and freezers

• Other commercial refrigeration equipment

You’ll work across a varied customer base, including restaurants, pubs, hotels, schools, colleges and hospitals, meaning no two days are likely to be the same.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working with commercial refrigeration equipment
• Relevant refrigeration qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent
• F-Gas certification
• A full UK driving licence
• A professional approach and good customer service skills
