Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join a leading industrial refrigeration specialist in Scotland. You will service, maintain and support ammonia-based systems across contracts, with occasional travel between sites along the M8 Corridor.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of service experience, FGAS qualification, City & Guilds Level 2 Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, and Ammonia Handling (2078).

Qualifications

• 5 years of service/maintenance experience on industrial refrigeration systems.
• FGAS qualification is essential.
• City & Guilds Level 2 Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
• Ammonia Handling (2078) certification.
• MEWP & PASMA certificates desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel across the M8 Corridor.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine servicing and planned/reactive maintenance on industrial ammonia refrigeration units.
• Travel to sites across the M8 Corridor including Inverness & Dundee as required.

Job description

Position: Refrigeration Engineer
Location: Scotland - M8 Corridor
Salary: £50,000 - 56,300 based on experience
Industrial Refrigeration Engineer is required for our client, a leading Refrigeration company based in Durham, who been operational for over 40 years, with national and regional offices. They specialise in the design, installation, and service/maintenance of a wide range of Industrial Refrigeration systems. Due to expansion, our client is looking for an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Service Engineer to join their team and work on their contracts.
The role will involve completing routine servicing and planned/reactive maintenance on a range of Industrial Refrigeration units such as ammonia systems.
The successful Refrigeration Engineer candidate will have at least 5 years' experience completing service/maintenance tasks on a range of ammonia refrigeration systems.

Job Requirements

• 5 years' experience completing service and maintenance works on Industrial Refrigeration systems.
• FGAS Qualified - essential
• City & Guilds Level 2 Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
• Ammonia Handling (2078)
• MEWP & PASMA certificates desirable
• Experience working in industrial settings including Food Manufacturing
• Able to commute across the M8 Corridor
• Happy to travel out of the region when required 1 site in Inverness & Dundee
• Full UK Driving Licence

Salary & Benefits

• £50,000 - 56,300
• Door-to-door travel pay
• 40 Hour working week
• Bonus up to 6% paid annually based on performance
