Job summary

Vibrant Recruits Ltd. is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join our UK refrigeration team.

You will service, maintain and repair refrigeration and temperature control systems across the Midlands and surrounding areas, with home-based scheduling depending on location. The role involves fault finding, planned maintenance and reactive breakdowns on chillers, AHUs, pumps and controls, with ammonia training available for heavier industrial equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience within commercial or industrial refrigeration.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience carrying out PPMs and reactive maintenance.
• Knowledge of refrigeration controls and electrical systems.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair refrigeration and temperature control systems across the Midlands and surrounding areas.
• Cover areas including Peterborough, Northampton, Leicester, Milton Keynes, Cambridge, Nottingham, Derby and wider West Midlands.
• Carry out planned maintenance, reactive breakdowns and fault-finding across commercial/industrial refrigeration equipment.
• Ammonia training can be provided for heavy industrial equipment.

As a Refrigeration Engineer, you'll be responsible for the service, maintenance and repair of refrigeration and temperature control systems across the Midlands and surrounding areas.

Depending on where you live, working from home, you'll cover areas including Peterborough, Northampton, Leicester, Milton Keynes, Cambridge, Nottingham, Derby and the wider West Midlands, carrying out planned maintenance, reactive breakdowns and fault finding across a variety of commercial and light industrial refrigeration applications. Ammonia training can be provided if you want to work on heavy industrial equipment.

You’ll be working on equipment including:

• Chillers and coolers
• Air Handling Units (AHUs)
• Pumps and valves
• HFC and hydrocarbon-based systems

The role also offers exposure to specialist facilities and industrial temperature control systems, providing a level of technical variety rarely found elsewhere.

What We’re Looking For in a Refrigeration Engineer

We'd like to speak with engineers who have:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience within commercial or industrial refrigeration
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience carrying out PPMs and reactive maintenance
• Knowledge of refrigeration controls and electrical systems
• Full UK Driving License

Experience working on chillers, refrigeration packs, controls and industrial refrigeration equipment would be highly advantageous.
