Job summary

Smart Search Technical Ltd in Teesside/North Yorkshire is seeking a maintenance engineer to perform planned and reactive refrigeration and AC maintenance across customer sites, with some installation work. You will diagnose faults, carry out repairs and ensure equipment stays operational and compliant.

The role requires strong refrigeration engineering experience, C&G 2079 F-Gas qualification and hydrocarbon experience, plus a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Strong refrigeration engineering experience.
• C&G 2079 F-Gas qualification required.
• Hydrocarbon experience/qualification preferred.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
• Good customer communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently across multiple customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative and reactive refrigeration and AC maintenance.
• Fault finding, diagnosis and repairs.
• Some refrigeration and AC installation work.
• Completing PPM work within agreed timescales.
• Supporting first-time fix and equipment uptime.
• Working safely and maintaining high standards on customer sites.
• Completing service reports and escalating issues where required.

Job description

Location: Teesside / North Yorkshire

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 DOE

Hours: 40+ hours per week

Call-Out: 1 weekend in 5

Overtime: Available at time and a half

Travel: Door-to-door paid

The Role
