Job summary

Smart Search Technical Ltd invites applications from experienced refrigeration engineers for a full-time role based in Teesside. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance across customer sites, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs with occasional installation work.

The role requires strong refrigeration experience (retail preferred), a C&G 2079 F-Gas qualification, hydrocarbons experience, and a full UK driving licence. Expect a 40+ hour week, call-out rota, and private healthcare.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative and reactive refrigeration and AC maintenance.

• Complete PPM work within agreed timescales.
• Support first-time fix and equipment uptime.
• Work safely and maintain high standards on customer sites.
• Complete service reports and escalate issues when required.

Location: Teesside / North Yorkshire

Salary: £35,000–£40,000 DOE

Hours: 40+ hours per week

Call-Out: 1 weekend in 5

Overtime: Available at time and a half

Travel: Door-to-door paid

The Role

The role will involve carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across customer sites, with some installation work. You will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and helping to keep customer equipment operating reliably.

About You
